Captain Jolley's Paddleboats - 80th Anniversary Edition

Have you been for a paddle recently? It's 80 years since paddleboats started out on the River Torrens in 1945, yet pedal-powered paddleboats have been used as a source of fun for children, families, and tourists coming to see the beautiful city of Adelaide since as far back as 1881. It's called Captain Jolley's because the original owner, Keith Altmann, also owned Jolley's Boathouse, the nearby restaurant on the lake.
If you love South Australia, you'll love this logo-art from the iconic business. Captain Jolley's visual rebranding in 2018 marked a new chapter in the business, and was carried out in collaboration with a local design firm. Everyone in South Australia knows the paddleboats; we all went on there as kids. To celebrate 80 years in 2025, the beautiful logo-art is reproduced under licence through an exclusive collaboration with Moore's Department Store as part of our Simple Pleasures Heritage collection.
